Join us on a magical ride…

We all know Christmas brings people together. What happens when said people get together is another story. For generations people have been getting the Christmas card wrong.

Who’s to blame for these hauntingly entertaining, sometimes disturbing images that make us chuckle whilst burning our eyes? For some, it seems maybe the intentions were good until the reality revealed something entirely, well, bad. Just bad. Although I find it hard to believe some of these weren’t contrived to be the most horrid Christmas cards ever, part of me is scared that maybe they did happen naturally.

Either way here are a few of my favorite picks (from a category with WAY TOO MANY options)…

Merry Christmas…

I can understand the thought process here… “oh, let’s be santa and reindeer!” … no.

It is shocking to me the number of nude Christmas photos there are out there. It is NEVER okay…

I actually like this one, mostly for the dad’s face…

Here is one of the “it’s too bad to be real” ones, but then I look into their eyes and I believe it. They are really selling it. I think maybe it’s the tiny goat wearing a Santa hat that makes this a top fiver for me…

These two are classics. I wish I was a member of either of these families…

Remember tan mom? We found her holiday card…

Now this one genuinely confused me. I think I might blame a photographer for this one. It’s obvious someone has exploited their the creative control. I mean, come on, the girl in the pajamas is sitting in a bucket, which is probably how she bathes considering they have no teeth and wear those very scary glasses. I imagine a very backwoodsy land lays outside those windows…

Told ya… so many…

I. CAN’T. STOP. LOOKING.

Here we go… into the Hall of Fame section….

Are your eyes burning yet? Go, give them something nice to look at…

Everything is “Eatable”… or is it?

Uncategorized

I know I have referenced the movie Alive previously but can we talk about it again? THAT MOVIE IS CRAZY. It is based on a true story and that makes it all the more insane. It really has me wondering what I would do to survive. I know I have admitted that if anything catastrophic happened I would be in the first group to die. But sometimes I wonder if I am a survivor and don’t even know it. We all have skills and strengths we aren’t even aware of. An arsenal of untapped resources just waiting for the sh** to hit the fan.

Could I survive a plane crash, maybe…

Could I withstand the freezing cold… sure, I would do some jumping jacks.

Could I handle being away from civilization… absolutely, I would prefer it.

Could I eat another human to survive… ummmmmmmmm….

I can barely stomach what most people consider delicacies.  I’m a cheese pizza kind of girl.  (don’t judge me)

While I know I don’t have much room to talk on this matter since I haven’t gone hungry a day in my life. That being said, I’m not entirely sure what I would resort to if I were literally starving to death.

I would hope that I would be one of the tough ones who would survive despite all odds, not likely, but I’m hopeful.

The will to survive fascinates me. I’m in no way meaning to make light of any life or death situation…

I am just curious what and if others think about it. We live day to day and most of us never give a second thought to the worst happening. I don’t think of myself as overly morbid, but I do think about it. I daydream about insane scenarios.

My questions is this:  could you eat your best friend (previously deceased of natural causes, of course) if it meant you would live to see another day?

and here it is in bad form to lighten things up and not really stay with the topic, our poster of the day…Image

…when you are a stranger?

Design Studio, graphic design, LeMonkey House, Uncategorized, why

They say people are strange, when you are a stranger. Well at least Jim Morrison says that.

Well Jim, I have news for you….

People are strange ALL THE TIME. I am not saying this is always a bad thing. It certainly keeps things interesting.

Some people get a little carried away with trying to push the weirdness factor. “Look at me, I’m different and don’t care what you think”…. please. stop.

I had no shortage of images that would prove my point. Most were not very tasteful and I had a hard time even getting through them so I will not subject others to that.

Here is your daily dose of weird…

I applaud her commitment and decision making skills and a bit jealous she never has to buy or apply makeup…ever…

It is refreshing to finally see an awkward photo featuring a dog and not a cat…

This guy actually looks super sweet and cuddley…

Understandable, who hasn’t been so in love that they wear matching denim and make out for their annual glamour shot?…

images

That is a lot of effort for something so pointless…
